I saw a new seat belt tensioner on ebay at a reasonable price with the extra connection to work the seat belt warning light. I had been on the lookout for one of these since I found a connection under the drivers seat and wondered what it was for.

It’s a matter of one bolt to swop the tensioners over but I soon noticed that the srs plug on the tensioner was different to that in car so I had to cut and solder on the correct plug from the original unit. Other than that a “plug and play” mod.

So now the seat belt warning light remains on until I fasten the seat belt ……… don’t ask me why I’ve done it!! ……. its another gadget and a hobby.
