It is often said that this database is very inaccurate but I think that depends on how you use it. I find that you need to look at all options of how your model is listed as it all depends on who and how your model was described when it was originally registered at the DVLA.

For example my car is described as a V8 and as 260 and a total of 239 on the road or 120 SE saloons. Roughly half are sorned and others are the Rover V8 version and a lot went abroad of the total 883 made.
