Well I’m still having problems with the steering wheel audio controls. First I replaced the originals with a used from eBay and no difference. So I dismantled the originals and cleaned up the contacts and ‘re installed and still no improvement. So now I have bought new! ……… fitted it and still no improvement.
So fault must lie elsewhere. Cost me about £70 so far to find that out!!
Now possibly one of three things, the rotary coupler located under the steering wheel, the steering control / highline interface unit located behind the highline radio in the dash or damaged wiring.
