2004 MG ZT 260SE, top of the range version of the very limited number (no 264) of rear wheel drive ZTs briefly produced by the factory before MGs demise in 2005. As Im sure you are aware, these are properly engineered hairy chested cars with manual gearbox and that throbbing Mustang V8..
This car has lots of service history/spare key and has just been subject to an overhaul by the No1 MG V8/SV specialist Chris Flanagan of Retro Sportcars Brighouse – with renewed brakes, refurbed alloys, oil change, plus up to date infotainment with a touch screen DAB Kenwood bluetooth audio streaming unit that will also mirror your phone with Google maps satnav etc..Chris knows this car well as he actually installed a brand new V8 engine less than 15000 miles ago which needless to say runs beautifully. The engine has further enhancements with an inlet manifold update/Typhoon intake system (which gives much crisper throttle response) plus silicone hoses. The cars condition throughout is fabulous, with the mileage shown not that relevant thanks to the maintenance/recent updates also including a £1500 VHS suspension Dynamic pack upgrade.
Being the SE model there is a sumptuous leather interior in very good order and super Xenon headlights.. You might have spotted the enhanced rear end features too with a light cluster update and prominent silencers which make an awesome crackling rumble! MOT until end Dec 2021.

These cars have great taught handling, strong brakes and are truly involving – also appreciating rapidly now (one sold at auction a while back for over 16k). Its a reluctant sale as they say but Ive got too many cars in storage now and need to free up space for an Elise and 270bhp K turbo Freelander projects..Im still tempted to find a way to simply store the ZT as I’m sure Il regret parting with it..
