My car left the factory without a boot light because the Harman Kardon sound box takes so much room that it would have almost totally obscured any light from the lamp ……making the boot a very dark ‘cavern’ space at night!
I had a DRL left over from another project which is ideal to stick to the bottom of the HK box and being flat is very unobtrusive.
Wired into the wiring for the boot light which was lying along the top of one of the body sections and job done …… and very effective. These are available on eBay relatively cheaply as DRL lights see ….
