I’ve had the roof bars for over a year now and never got round to fitting them but with an imminent house move coming up thought it would be useful to get them on.
I removed the plastic caps but couldn’t see any thread to screw the supports into. I wasn’t expecting to see a plug in the thread. I realise now that this must be the first time the bars have been fitted and this plug has never been removed.
Removing these plugs is a but tricky – I used a spike with a hook on it but a guess a wood screw would work just as well.
Once the plugs are removed it’s then a straight forward job fitting the bars. I think they look pretty good as well.
